Publication Announcement: Study Using Our IPF Model
A research article utilizing our bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) mouse model has been published in an international scientific journal.
In this study, the antifibrotic potential of mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles (MSC-EVs) was evaluated. Using our in vivo model, the efficacy of MSC-EVs was demonstrated.
Key findings in the bleomycin-induced fibrosis model included:
-
Improvement in body weight recovery
-
Significant reduction in lung fibrosis scores (Ashcroft score)
-
Decrease in integrin αV-positive cells in lung tissue
These results indicate that MSC-EVs may represent a promising therapeutic approach for pulmonary fibrosis.
Our IPF model was also employed in comparison with the standard drug nintedanib, supporting clinically relevant evaluation.
