Made to Order Case Study: Establishment of Cecal Cannulation Dosing in a Colitis Model
SMC Laboratories’ MTO (Made to Order) service is designed to address research needs that cannot be met by existing disease models or standard dosing routes. We design and build custom models and procedures from the ground up, providing seamless support from model establishment through to main study execution.
In response to a client request to administer an antibody directly into the cecum in a DSS colitis mouse model—without passing through the stomach—we designed and successfully established a novel cecal cannulation dosing method. This was developed from scratch in the absence of any published protocols or precedent at other CROs.
