2025 Highlights — Research and Business Topics at SMC Laboratories —
We sincerely thank you for your continued support and collaboration with SMC Laboratories throughout 2025.
This year, we advanced our R&D support capabilities through participation in international partnering events and scientific meetings, peer-reviewed publications in the MASH/STAM and IPF fields, and the expansion of our nonclinical evaluation services.
■ Conferences and Publications
In 2025, we participated in major partnering events including BioJapan, BIO-Europe 2025, and Biotechgate Digital Partnering, as well as scientific meetings such as the Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Hepatology and APASL STC 2025 Tokyo.
Research involving SMC was published in leading international journals, including Cell Reports Medicine, Human Cell, Nutrients, and Stem Cell Research & Therapy.
■ Services and Platforms
We expanded our Made-to-Order (MTO) study design and custom model services, and enhanced clinically relevant evaluation platforms such as lung function assessment (FVC, SpO2), IVIS imaging analysis, and new positive controls for UUO and IPF models.
